About Scholarship Auditor

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Scholarship Auditor is an independent scholarship guide for students in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia. We publish scholarships and study guides for Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, and we check every detail against the official source before it goes live.

Why we started

Students in West Africa lose real opportunities every year to expired deadlines, copied posts with wrong information, and “agents” who charge money for applications that are free. Scholarship Auditor was founded by James Christian Unya, known as the De Auditor (read his profile), to give students one place where the information has been checked and the links lead straight to the official provider.

What we publish

  • Scholarship guides covering who can apply, what the award pays for, the documents required, the deadline and how to apply.
  • Study guides by destination for Canada, the USA, the UK and European countries.
  • Application guides and templates for motivation letters, personal statements, CVs, reference letters and interviews.

How we check every scholarship

Before a scholarship is published, we read the provider’s official page and confirm the eligibility rules, the funding, the deadline and the application steps. We confirm whether applicants from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia are eligible. We test the official application and eligibility links. Each post shows the date it was last verified, and we update or mark posts as closed when a deadline passes. Our full process is explained in our Editorial and Corrections Policy.

Our independence

  • We are not a scholarship provider, a university or a recruitment agent.
  • We do not accept applications, and we never ask readers to pay to apply for a scholarship.
  • We are not affiliated with any university, government or foundation we write about.
  • Decisions on applications are made only by the official provider.

Scholarship Auditor may display advertising to cover its running costs. Advertising never influences which scholarships we cover or what we say about them.
